I went into the store recently to purchase a phone for my daughter, and was told I would receive the phone for free. I was told I only had to pay $130 up front, that my phone would be free and that my monthly fee with my existing contract would not go up. I was very doubtful of this offer and asked the salesperson multiple times whether I would actually be receiving the phone free of charge. He assured me that I would. A few weeks later I received my bill and the charges were $150 more than they used to be!! I was tricked and lied to!! Do not let the superficial friendliness of the staff at this store dupe you into agreeing to enter fake offers that don't even exist like I did. I am extremely dissatisfied with the service I received, and will be immediately leaving Sprint once my contract expires!!
I hate to give this place even one star !!! They were sweet as honey trying to get the sale, once they got that sale and had us screwed over all that phony kindness went away!!! They are LIARS and will tell you what you want to hear and then NOT HONOR there word AT ALL!! I never give reviews especially bad ones unless I leave a place in tears and that’s exactly what happened today I was so upset I could not even drive home !!! My daughter And her husband signed up with Sprint a while back and they gave them a few free phones my daughter and her husband were happy to bring my girlfriend and I free phones! My girlfriend was in an accident and her phone was crushed so we went into sprint to see if they can replace it or if there was anything they could do they ended up talking us into getting two iPhones for only $50 more a month on my daughters bill we discussed it and decided we could afford it as long as it was no more than $50 the sprint employees and the owner MICHAEL SOUSA more than assured us that is all it would be!! my daughters bill went from a hundred and eighty five to over 330.00 and they have not even tried to honor the original price they quoted us!! First month his excuse was as I was charge for the pro rated month, Well what’s his excuse this month will let me just tell you now he saying he went over how we are being charged $18 a month for insurance which is BS he never once mentioned that!!!!! He took the insurance off of our iPhones without our permission just to lower our bill to get me out of his hair that is not what I asked him to do I wanted him to honor the original price he told us he never once mentioned anything about insurance going to cost us 18 each month plus the 50 or anything like that he is a Flippin liar!!!!! Don’t go through sprint whatever you do you will regret it I guarantee it they’re good at talking you into things and then screwing you over !!!! I left hysterical, because I could not believe he sat there and lied right to my face!!! Got what he wanted and then he turned around and treated me so poorly !!!!
- Have them explain the "surcharges" and verify that they're acknowledged in writing. These are discretionary charges and, though they can't enforce them, Sprint will do everything they can to stick you with them.
These people will tell you anything and everything possible to make a sale, but when hidden charges and fees start showing up on your bill, they refuse to accept accountability.
- DO NOT sign a lease agreement for your device; you'll pay out the nose for it.
- Make sure the contract they give you is explained in detail, and verify each number on the document. I was given two different contracts, both with different rates/payment figures.
This isn't just a problem with the store, which is completely unprofessional and staffed by people who can't be bothered, but with Sprint in general. These are a few things I wish I knew before I made the mistake of becoming a Sprint customer:
- There is no customer support to speak of. Sprint employees will continue passing you off to someone else until you give up.
Terrible customer service. Just called to get some information about the iPhone 7 and my current iPhone plan and this guy rushed me off the phone because the store is "too busy." Even though he only has 2 iPhone 7 anyways. Terrible display of customer service and I don't plan on getting my new phone there. Hilarious way of getting customers.
- If you must speak with someone via the 800-number, repeatedly dial #0*#0* to confuse the automated system and speak to a human.
- You will have terrible reception. Prepare for dropped calls, spotty service, roaming, and texts showing up hours after the person sent them.
Outstanding customer service. They thoroughly explained all the plans and went through all my possible options. I would definitely recommend going to this store!
